World Record! Bugatti Chiron Super Sport 300+ That Broke 300mph
Minggu, 15 September 2019
The first ever production car or pre-production car broke through that 300 mile per hour barrier. every single detail on the exterior this is how it's going to be to the new to the muscle, so this is the W 16 8 litre 1600 horsepower engine and this is a hundred horsepower more than the standard. A week after claiming a new speed record, obtained with a prototype based on Chiron, Bugatti announces the arrival of the Chiron Super Sport 300+, derived from the record car. Only 30 copies will be produced.
In recent times, Bugatti has been particularly productive, chaining the novelties derived from Chiron. After the Chiron Sport and the Divo in 2018, both of which focused on dynamism, the Alsatian firm has delighted fans of goldsmithery on wheels for this year of 110 years, with the only Black Car and Centodieci. However, although these cars compete for exclusivity, none have ventured onto pure speed terrain, stopping at the 420 km / h of the "basic" Chiron or being clamped at 380 km/h.
That lovers of numbers and excess are reassuring, it is not so. The brand returns to its first fad and announces the arrival of "the fastest Bugatti cars". This Chiron Super Sport 300+ "takes the visual and technical features" of the vehicle that has recently claimed an absolute speed record for a car, crossing the bar of 300 miles per hour (490 km/h).
It should be noted, however, that this record is not officially registered (no two-way passing) and that it concerns a prototype and not a series model. It cannot be compared to that obtained by Koenigsegg with his Agera RS in 2017 (447 km / h).
The Chiron Super Sport 300+ therefore takes the W16 8.0 quad-turbo in its version of 1600 hp, recently inaugurated by Centodieci. No word on the other hand on a possible relief compared to the standard model, while the maximum speed is not specified! We only learn that it can go "beyond 420 km / h" and that it would be "the fastest hypersportive series". We can imagine a figure of around 450 km / h, which would allow it to beat the Swedish supercar.
Like the car of the record, the Chiron Super Sport 300+ is stretched out on its rear part and optimized on the aerodynamic plan. We note in particular the new diffuser and four exhaust outlets, now placed vertically two by two. The car is crossed by two bands of color "Jet Orange" and is equipped with ultra-light magnesium rims of color "Nocturne".
Inside, we find this contrast between the orange keys and the black carbon fiber, matching the leather and Beluga Black Alcantara. The brand, however, for the moment does not reveal any photo of the cabin of the car.
As could be expected, this new version is even more inaccessible than the standard Chiron, with only 30 copies produced and sold at a price of 3.5 million euros. The first deliveries will take place mid-year 2021.
